This is a long established fact so I wonder why you "forgot" it..... to justify behavior that may put others at risk.I'm very familiar with the Asian custom of wearing masks (only when they are sick BTW ) having been to Japan, Hong Kong and China many times...but I'm not sick now, have never had covid or any of its symptoms, so masks are superfluous IMO. When it started, I correctly figured it would be good protection FOR ME until we had more data. Given how well they worked in Taiwan to slow the spread, it seemed a good idea to continue too. These days, I figure if I have to wear a mask when I go indoors, then it should be a good one. I don't go to events that require a mask indoors - why pay to be uncomfortable when I have many great alternatives? I haven't had a flu since December 1999 which really seems like it was an early COVID case given how hard it was on my lungs for a few days and kept me from hiking for 10 of the 12 days. My records show it was a bad flu for 2 days then bad cold symptoms that improved. I think I gave it to a neighbor when I hugged her for giving me a Christmas gift, she gave it to her family and best girlfriend down the street. My younger GF also got it but not as bad and thankfully, she didn't give it to her mother which made me think some of the meds she takes probably gave her some statistical immunity. I saw family at Christmas 1999 about 2 weeks after I had my symptoms and didn't give it to them. We'll never know as the idiot government spends all its money on crazy WOKE stuff and not enough on figuring these things out with blood tests and research.
