Dipy:

You sate:

shareholders...

Speaking of which, everytime I see a MO shareholder speaking of his/her stake in MO the arrogance does not seem to recognize a limit but the sky!

When I (jokingly of course) said to you before that MO share holders mean while pray everyday and night so more teenage kids are hooked on to smoking you dismissed that right away by giving me the following analogy: (see siliconinvestor.com

You said:
"As for cigarettes, they are a legal product in a free country. I don't have to make any apologies for being associated with MO. Some people love to blame others for their problems. Consider this (this is a stretch but stranger things than this have happened) -- kids play violent video games on their Sony Playstation and this could lead to them becoming violent in their own lives. Right? So, Sony has to be blamed, correct? And from Sony to LSI is but one short step!

The difference, my friend, between LSI and MO in the analogy you gave is that for every indirect role LSI may have in any harmful effect for the man kind (as you portrayed above), one can come up with hundreds of positive impacts it manifests for the society! In contrast for MO you can not in any way form or shape conclude one single positive impact of its main bread and butter product namely cigaretts and cigars (and surely you do not consider the pleasure generated from smoking a positive item for the man kind, or can you?)!! The only positive aspect I can think of that MO does provide is for its share holders, but then I am sure if they get into selling heroin, cocaine and other addictive drugs to na‹ve teenagers the positive impacts will increase by a factor of 10000% for the share holders!! The arrogance of MO share holders does not in any form or shape come close to that of the old IBM share holders!!!!

I suggest you read Andy Grove's book "Only the paranoid survive."

Intel is still more "nimble" than anyone a fraction of their size.
