Sounds great!
I've learned how to post pics from my phone just last week so here are 4 shots! (link above)

It must be a process as I didn't see any links...

"Once complete, I seldom ever drive them, except what's needed to keep them functioning."

I had waited 6 months to get my bumpers and trim pieces back from the chrome coater and finally was able to finish one of my projects. I took it out for the first test drive and someone threw a rock and chipped the newly chromed front bumper. I almost cried.
I never restored for show though. I drove my projects but they have all been for fun or work. My sports cars and muscles I would take out on weekends and put them through their paces. My truck projects were built for handling my extreme needs for hauling, towing, rough terrain etc.
I guess I soured on show cars after going to a show in Denver in the early 80s and there was a gorgeous Cuda. I noticed the steering shaft was up against the engine block. I asked him how it could work and he said it didn't. They had to line it up with the trailer and push it straight on/off. The car was undrivable and just for looks.
I like feeling the horsepower, gripping curves, going places a stock vehicle can't go. Pulling something I know most couldn't. I'm partial to trucks recently. I figure the mods pay for themselves in the productivity I get in return. I enjoyed my cars but the high price of paint recently makes it tough to justify the expense. I do all my own work so I never ran into problems anywhere else. I can usually find cheap parts, fab what I can't find, do my own body work etc. Good paint is ridiculous though.
