Jeesh. You guys get so personal. Who cares if she is an M.D. or not. I have a buddy whose an M.D. and sure he's smart, but he knows nothing about investing or business - he just thinks he does.

To really learn this stuff, it helps to have a business degree, work in the industry a few years, and analyze companies from a financials standpoint for several years. Then you might be able to say you know something. If not, you may just be fooling yourself. Hell, even if you had done all that stuff, you're probably still fooling yourself.

The trick is don't get enamored of a stock. If you are to the point that you are saying the CEO sucks with some degree of vehemence, you are no longer thinking with your head, but with your emotions. If you invest with your emotions, you're screwed.

Francis, I don't have too much regard for Cramer. Just a month ago I heard him on CNBC put out a MAJOR SCREAMING SELL on the tech stocks. Look at INTC, DELL, MSFT today. Maybe he should have taken some advice from "The Trading Goddess." Anyhow my Guru is none other than Abby Joseph Cohen. I think you have a prejudice vs. women that probably dates back to the 50/60's. You probably also think that women should be barefoot, pregnant and baking apple pie. SR

Francis, I reread your post, and you mention "the Trading Goddess", Ms. Rothstein, nonsense and reverence in the same breath. I do agree that men as well as women can spout the same amt. of absurdity, but I disagree that women are accorded more reverence than men; and therein lies your prejudice. Very few women make statements in the male dominated financial world and when they do and are wrong they are severely punished i.e. Elaine Garzarelli.. SR

FM, "they are accorded much more reverence" I can agree with you only partially here because the reverence seems to be given after they are correct. More attention seems like a better description.

PS The barefoot and pregnant statement seemed uncalled for.
