Yeah, an unbiased article from Huff Puff... NOT! Yeah, blame investors because we don't want to invest in oil companies where if we put our capital at risk and make a return similar to Tesla or Apple, all the freaks get up in arms and demand extra "windfall profit taxes" ON TOP of the corporate taxes companies already have to pay on profits. Blame me as I'm one of those who consider domestic oil companies uninvestible because of idiotic policies the current occupant of the White House favors and made promises to the lefties in his party to implement. I won't touch the sector. Only dividend investors who don't track or know their total return adjusted for the risk they take will invest and they are happy to milk the wells for what they have. If prices get high enough AND Joe Biden promises to Veto ANY legislation that crosses his desk with ANY extra taxes "windfall" or otherwise then I'll believe you can blame the companies. Until then I blame YOU, Joe Biden and especially the looney lefties who would rather buy energy at high prices from countries who don't let women drive (Saudi Arabia), jail or murder homosexuals (almost all the ME countries plus Russia), and ban abortions (Venezuela). I'm going to make a list of the top oil producing countries and all the things a "true liberal" should boycott all products from those countries rather than the bullshit "limousine liberals" who blow smoke up everyone's asses yet are without a clue in that their own policies make pollution and oppression worse. BTW, one could make an argument along these lines that You and Joe Biden and the far lefties are RESPONSIBLE for Putin invading Ukraine. Without the high oil prices the past year he would not have been able to afford the war. Trump warned NATO and especially Germany not to get in bed with Putin with energy and keep their nukes working and replace it with energy from the US or other areas, but they ignored him... So yeah, I am not a fan of Trump but he was right on this and you and the liberals were wrong. Own it.
