Re: Middle Age Portfolio ... Portfolio Adjustments

I am still trying to hit the income objective assigned to this portfolio, and although the income growth is considerable year over year, I am still applying more income pressure to ensure the goal is achieved on time.

With this in mind, today I trimmed positions in LMT, LOW and AVGO. Both of these positions were overweight and had yields low enough that I could increase the amount of income these assets were generating by at least 3 times as much income.

LMT - 2.44% yield
LOW - 1.58%
AVGO - 2.74%

The following positions were purchased:

RYLD - 10.01%
QYLD - 9.93%
HTGC - 8.04%
ARCC - 7.56%
T - 5.70%
UL - 4.41%
D - 3.07%
ANTM - 0.99% (wanted some capital growth potential for future trimming)

Re: MIDDLE AGE PORTFOLIO ... PORTFOLIO UPDATED 5/1/22

** Dividend income growth year to date +91.4% over year to date 2021. **

The goal is to try to present a balance between high dividend cash flows, dividend growth, and capital gain potential, so there will be a mix of assets.

This portfolio is a 401K roll over from a previous job and does not include all of their investments.

The income objective is $36K in annual dividends and the time frame is end of 2023. That's an increase of 20% per year.

Portfolio Balance: $565,800
Forward 12 months income: $29,803
Portfolio yield: 5.27%
Dividend Growth 5 Years: 5.20%
Chowder Number: 10.47

A full position is $10,000. CEF's and ETF's are not included as a % of the equity portfolio weightings.
