The problem with Trump is he did a poor job of defending himself when falsely accused or misrepresented on an issue. Remember Charlottesville? They doctored the video so it looked like he was saying there are good people in the White Supremacist Group. He didnt say that. I saw his comments live and the next day when i saw the "news" i was screaming at the TV for misrepresenting him. What Trump should have done is had a press conference and shown the video of his comment and what the CNN doctored video showed. Everyone could then see how dishonest the MSM is. What Trump always did instead was go on the attack and make it look like the MSM was correct in their charges.

I agree with everything you said - except that I don’t like Mike Pompeo (imo, he’s like an ax - unsubtle, hits hard).

But the question remains - Is Donald Trump the only person able to address all those issues? Or, at his age, the best? I’m not saying he isn’t - he may be - but it’s something to think about.

For example, his legal team - Giuliani, Ellis, Powell, etc - clearly overpromised and underdelivered. Many of his appointments became a long list of disappointments. Or, what about his long standing fascination with “his generals”. Not a single one of them stood by him, in the end. Winning the vote is a must - but a Prez also needs to build some support among the elites. Important to have people who can get things done. Working for a Prez should be seen as a career maker - not breaker.
