Something to keep in mind is ION is very much employee owned
through are very nice 401K plan and a management group owns about 13%. I believe there is also a "poison pill" that would come into effect if someone tries a hostile takeover.

A nice marriage would be ION and OSM in my opinion .

30 million dollars in synergies does not sound like much for a 4-5 billion dollar company.

Next Quarter is important to see the effect Asia had on USF along with the further write- offs mentioned a loss is expected.
Culligan does bring good exposure for USF to the European market but Europe is in a major slump right now .

I unloaded USF today. I didn't buy it for a quick turn, but that's the way it worked out. I'll almost assuredly buy back in once the CUL deal is a little less murky.

I had the bad fortune of being long CA, too. That's two in two weeks that I've been on the wrong side of.
