The past two years has been a good lesson in that. Pandemic is over and supply chains are still not right.

JIT inventory control has been great for efficiency, but is terrible if there are any disruptions. If there was ever any national emergency where supply chains were disrupted for any significant amount of time we'd all starve.

I recommend the Drake Well Museum in Pennsylvania. There should be more study about the ongoing bacterial creation of petroleum. Seems like "fossil fuel" is a misnomer.

It’s amazing how fragile, in essence, are our great technological accomplishments and the wonderful economy they support.

Dependable, efficient and affordable energy is the key. Without it, our civilization dies. How far down that road do we need to go before enough people wake up? You're correct, "fragile" indeed. Winter is coming..
