Scumbria,

What happens to IDTI and the C6 when Intel sues them for patent infringement?

Scumbria,

What are you talking about?

C6 is nothing but a 486DX with MMX coupling with 64K L1 cache. Comparing to MediaGX, you must be joking, aren't you?

To tell you what I believe, all the current simple function x86 processors, PII, PMMX, K6, M2 and C2, were obsolete since the date that the 128-bit MXi was introduced. Once MXi is debut, who wants to spend the money on these inefficient 64-bit data bus processors without 2D/3D/DVD on 33Mhz PCI?

I am quite surprised that you are seeking C6 enthusiasms on Cyrix thread.

Scumbria,

Cyrix's 128-bit MXi is not a trade secret any longer. You could read Cyrix's latest innovations at:

Check "Overview of the Cyrix 6x86MX Microprocessor" under Presentation
cyrix.com

I have been most impressive by what I saw. With such a chip, who should care about the die size on C6 or C6+? They are out of date even before the architecture designs on C6+ is completed.

Scumbria,

Just when I start to think you have a brain, you come up with this nonsense post. Hellooo??? MX is 88mm&#178 on 0.25, Cayenne will be 65mm&#178 and MXi will be 90mm&#178.
