I am not sure your premise is correct. I think bitcoin was made exactly so as to prevent or at least limit the government's control over money. It is a throwback to the days that you could carry a chest of gold coins to any part of the world and do with it as you pleased. Depending on your perspective, that can be good or bad. It can feed pirates and bandits, or it can give you freedom. We can debate the merits. But do not be confused about its purpose.
