With regard to Bob's Active/Passive portfolio with 75% invested in Vanguard's Total Stock Market Index - unless I'm mistaken a withdrawal from that particular fund MUST be in WRITING; therefore, how would one take advantage of a buy signal if there were to be one? It seems to me that by the time a letter would reach Vanguard the market could have already plummeted. Has anyone thought of this? And he does seem to be advocating that particular fund, along with the Vanguard Index fund more and more.

Re: subscribers would be informed via overnight delivery.

My somewhat foggy recollection is that BB committed to FIRST CLASS mail notification. I think I read that in one of his newsletters many months ago.

Also, given that many of BB's calls have been "contrarian" to some degree, I wouldn't be surprised if his "sell" signal comes in the midst of rabid market hysteria. In which case, many less informed listeners, and certainly most illicit recipients of information will REFUSE to act. All the better for us dedicated trekkies.

RE: "... and I've never heard him say that it [sell signal] would likely happen on a Monday or Tuesday (which BTW would imply a 3+ day delay until the weekend)."

I believe his model is updated on Monday's.

Best wishes,

I2

Any suggestion by you that Brinker would lie to callers is about
as absurd as you can get. In his twelve years on Moneytalk I
have never heard him lie even one time to any caller. And
the fact you have such little confidence in him suggests
you might be better off switching to somebody else. Elaine
Garzarelli would undoubtedly welcome you with open arms.
As for Brinker's three business day blackout he has announced
this on Moneytalk several times over. However, your assertion
about overnight delivery of a sell signal is a fantasy. Brinker
has always used first class mail to deliver all Marketimer info.
