I seldom short anymore. Speaking of being bearish - I suspect that next time we have a really serious Bear - it may happen while the indices keep making new highs. All that needs to happen is for inflation to be higher than the rate of the nominal rally. Maybe it’s worth finding some charts of inflation adjusted SPX - but shorter term. They would quickly pick up times when the markets are doing a “moonwalk” - marching forward, but staying in place… or moving backwards.
