Duncan, I don't know if Rob Morse is the SF Examiner's lead columnist, but certainly he is one of their most popular. On Sundays, the SF Examiner and Chronicle combine into one paper (makes sense), and that is the only day I read Morse's columns, which I usually wind up saving to my hard disk. When I referred to the Brown Dynasty in California, let me add for clarification that son Jerry Brown's two terms as Governor were preceded by his father, Edmund G. "Pat" Brown's terms as Governer. The Brown Dynasty was interrupted by President Ronald Reagan's serving in that office. BTW, Kathleen Brown (Pat's daughter, Jerry's sister) is our State Treasurer and is quite unlike the other two Browns, politically. Holly
