Yes, I am not a trader in Adaptec but long. Even good companies like Adaptec suffer short-term setbacks. I am not unhappy about the prospective purchase of Symbios and better now when the stock is already down. Nice to have deep pockets of cash on hand, but the company must have figured that Symbios will substantially increase the return on that cash. Perhaps better than buying back its own stock with the cash. I think the company has investors in mind with this purchase, if one defines investors as those who buy and hold. Not much room to be concerned about the traders out there. But best of luck to those who may have shorted the stock yesterday! Starowl
