My nephew (9) has never learned the Pledge of Allegiance, nor the National Anthem. He had not learned that America was founded in 1776. He goes to public school in a state lauded for its public education. Are our schools run by anti-Americans? How is this possible? He also does not know about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Founding Fathers… it's insane. When I asked what American history he's learned, he says he's learned a lot about the native people. Basically nothing else. Hamilton is required viewing this xmas x.com Tom

Oh you are slippery koan; now its not education it is "information". And again your argument is silly as your own argument loops around to contradict what you say. I agree with your completley that we have more information at our fingertips than ever before .........but then you clain - even with all this "information" we are moving backwards because of who was elected. Some of the most undemocratic and dangerous countries in the world have every bit the "information" we do. How is that working out for them to improve their lives? ........Or even in this country; we have all the "information" we need but now are ignoring the dangers of GW and have a man in control of our science that believes vaccines cause autism. Sure lets bring back polio and small pox so we can cure autism. That is intellectually bankrupt - even with all the "information" at their fingertips.
