Good morning. My are we up early on Sunday. I just got in a while ago and checked the net a bit. Don't forget PFE.

I have no idea why CPQ is doing so poorly while all the other techs have been going up. They are talking about having this merger done by the second qtr. of 98. CPQ is my second biggest holding and I did not like the idea it going down almost 1 point when most of the other techs were up on Friday. I am sure it will go up next week. It was option expiration and it is the most heavily traded stock 10 out of 11 trading days. That is a lot of buying and selling. I guess we have to wait and see who wins out here near term, the bulls or the bears.

At least Intel is moving and should still be a buy candidate for us. I am very tempted.

Have a nice Sunday.

Sonny

Yaacov Re: "Do you have any idea as to why CPQ doesn't get any respect! Dell is making a
great performance while CPQ is sitting on the margins!"

Re CPQ, Bob Brinker, nationally known investment commentator, usually right-on on his advice, said on Saturday he doesn't know what is going to come out of the CPQ - DEC merger (BTW, I agree). Therefore, he said he'd be on the sidelines with respect to CPQ stock (not buying it). OTOH, he was quite bullish on INTC, and called Tom Kurlak WRONG, in his recent call on Intel. I posted today over on the main Intel thread more detail on Brinker's comments about Intel.
