You haven't been keeping up with my posting! <smirk> Put it to you this way, if this is Scott Miller then I invented the airplane. BTW, Unreal is not going to be a flop. It's too highly anticipated. Not only that but the Quake II fanatics will buy it just to come on the game boards and flame it out. HAHA! I frequent www.pcgr.com and check out game reviews there. What I have noticed is that Unreal is the only game that has ever had a page dedicated for it before it even comes out. It's going to fly John, it is just a question of how high. My feeling here is that Epic conceded the Xmas and post Xmas buying season to Quake II and that's the reason for the delay. I suspect we'll probably be hearing something very soon. But don't get me wrong. I don't claim to have any inside information <rolling eyes>. I only take issue with the idea that strategy games such as Civ II and Magic being huge multiplayer games. Unfortunately, Duke and the like rule this medium because of time constraints. You can jump online, do some fragging and that's it. Strategy games take time and not everyone can coordinate the time necessary with a stranger to finish what they start. So I am not sure strategy games can really make their mark in multiplayer. However, you forgot to mention Masters of Orion II.

BTW, the likely scenario here will be "Scott Miller" having failed to convince us of his value and feeling slighted and insulted will bid us farewell and also remind us what a golden opportunity we missed out on.

Bob, kind of Ironic that we both decided at the same time to post questions as to Scott Miller's authenticity (though you posted while I was still composing my message). I had been holding off for days, just incase it was him. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and not chase him away from the forum. Anyway, since almost all his posts are in reguards to the membership fee, I think he is an imposter. I sold my shares the day he started posting.

If it is really Scott Miller, then I would say he is making a desperate attempt to hype the stock > $11 so his company can bail out and sell their shares before it all "hits the fan" with these lawsuits. He may have indirectly given us some "inside" information after all.

You are probably right on "Unreal", I was just projecting my own personal game tastes on the general population (I didn't buy Quake or Quake 2 either).

Reguarding MPRS - "Magic", "Falcon" and "M1 Tank Platoon 2" will be great over the interenet - games will be fun and not too long. Good point about Civilization though - I have no idea what the multiplayer game will be like.

JV.

>>> Why did GTIS let G.O.D. have Max Payne, I thought they had first dibs on it? Didn't they like the game?

Sure they did, but Gathering of Developer's offer was too tough to match. GTIS only had the right to match any outside offer.

Now then, where else would you have been able to get this "inside" info. ;)

After I'm gone, this type of info will likely be unavailable to you. It's seems several people prefer ignorance, so this won't be a problem. <g>
