At no time have I suggested the Russian cause as "righteous".

IN all cases I have been clear that is a simple reality that the longer the war lasts, the more dead there will be. I believe that has been, thus far, the history of the war.

So, whatever its success level, it is worth trying to get the parties to come together and end it.

However it can be brought to an end most efficiently will be the best approach for Ukraine.

I do not want USA involved in a war with Putin because that is going to come with intolerable risks to Americans.

So, you are abandoning the righteousness of the Russian cause?
At no time have I suggested Russia is involved in a righteous cause. If you believe I have then you should either post where I said it or STFU, because that is a lie.

I find zero righteousness in what Putin is doing. But I also find that while it is okay to act as an intermediary if that opportunity presents, it is not our fight and under no circumstances should we make it be.

We had a president with poor judgment -- who YOU, by the way, supported. And he (and by extension, YOU) caused this war through his weak incompetence.

It is clear that Putin intends to take as much land as he can, it is not our job to prevent it when the victim in this case is as intransigent as the aggressor. Maybe they'll be able to win it; it seems unlikely.

I hate the war as much as the next guy but unless you feel you want to convince me that we have some interest in getting involved, then I don't see any point in going around about it.

When Ukrainian activists burned pro-Russian locals alive in Odessa in 2014, it shocked many. But it was the GLEE from Ukrainians joking about "Odessan barbecue" that made full-scale civil war inevitable.

US leftists mocking Charlie Kirk's shooting feels eerily familiar.

Bizarrely claiming that the clearly leftist shooter was anything but a leftist is also similar to Ukrainian "they burned themselves", "they're shelling themselves" rhetoric.
