PX,
<<As a matter of fact there is nothing chaotic about the HDD industry, an amazingly advanced, efficient, and mature industry.>>

Are you slipping a long term bear argument in here? "Mature" as in period of high growth and innovation is behind the industry? Or am I reading to much into a single word?

I think you missed the MOST IMPORTANT part of the MF article

<<Read-Rite also has been qualified as a suppler by five customers for the next generation 2.8 gigabyte MR heads.>>

This is big news! I bought a billion shares of RDRT after I read that... Add 'em up... 1) Maxtor 2) WDC 3) Samsung 4) QNTM 5) SEG. RDRT is gonna own the world!!! APM is doomed(Lawrence is finally gonna make money off that short, but lose his butt on the SEG short now that RDRT has bailed SEG out )

Well, the truth is, they're still in qual for most if not all of them. I emailed the guy after I read this and he "couldn't find his original source" He suggested I contact RDRT to confirm...

You overlooked the best of all - the conclusion

>>Investors looking for a beaten-down play in the disk drive industry should include Read-Rite among the candidates. On the other hand, the company's even greater dependence on its current customers suggests that it may prove a laggard in a recovery. <<

On the one hand, but on the other hand. Crisp investment advice, wouldn't you say?
