jhld,

Thanks for posting that. I see Kenneth Starr and his ilk as self-perpetuating menaces, in the same category as Tailgunner Joe McCarthy. It does disturb me that the US Constitution is not mentioned or even alluded to in the article. It's almost as if--if it is thought of at all--it is regarded as some sort of archaic, anachronistic document or specimen under glass, rather than the foundation of our country's system of government.

Holly

Thanks for the ridiculous article, a real hoot.

Even the title was nuts: Republicans join chorus against Starr investigation .

The article then went on to report reservations by just one Rep! The title of the article should have been: Despite all our efforts, only one Republican can be found with any reservations about Starr inquiry.

The rest were all the usual corruption defenders, all Dems. Especially laugable was Vermont's Leahy, who was thrown off the Senate Intelligence Committee in the 1980's because of his lack of and because he was caught leaking information. This past week Leahy got an amendment passed to officially change the Great Lakes to include Lake Champlain, because his state would get more pork. Now there is an uproar. What a despicable cretin!

Thanks again, that was a good one.
