Janice, if daddy has the money, and baby wants to go to seven sisters college. Baby goes to Seven sisters.

In my day, at least, that wasn't the case. I don't remember encountering anyone who wasn't up to the mark scholastically. Ivy was different, but mostly only if you were a football player. I remember--naive as I was then--being disappointed to discover that Bobby Leo really wasn't very bright.

And a great deal of fuss was made about "geographic distribution". Trust me on this.

things at the sisters are not as they once were, i assure you.
financial aid is more prevalent than you might suspect, and
admissions committees have a variety of considerations when
final determinations are made.

i speak as a former admissions committee member, at one of
the sisters...not too long ago.
