While in Africa, I was once flying to Addis Ababa from Nairobi the Kenyan capital. The Ethiopian Airlines 727 took off into a bright sunny sky. The captain of the aircraft addressed the passengers in a customary fashion and informed us of a good view of mt. Klemanjaro and spoke a little of lake Victoria on the western side etc. After a few minutes into the flight the captain came on the PA and said in almost a hurried manner "Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain again. I wanted to let you know that we are now crossing the equater". To my amusement, not counting the people close to the windows, about a dozen people from the isle seats rose and looked out the window to see, guess what ? Enver
