Bill,
Well put. The target segment for Jaz (and now Jaz2) cares about capacity, performance and reliability. The Jaz line offers all three. The price is the least important concern. SyQuest just can't figure out who they're selling to and what the market wants. SparQ will have no appeal for these users and is too much in every sense for the Zip market. SyJet is the only product they have that people will want and they apparently lose money on those.

Regards,
Milo

Sure, but at $649.95 a pop, Jaz 2GB drive is downright too expensive! And how much does a Jaz cartridge cost? I'm sure that at that price, the product has no more than a niche market.
