Raptor, You're right in the short term. One point I want to mention though is that psft typically doesn't follow the market to the same degree other stocks do. That's just my personal opinion but how it has appeared to me over time. Also, keep in mind that it's only March. Go back and look at last year's chart. (I'm sure Paul could sell you his). I firmly believe that at one point or another this stock will see 40 again. You just have to be patient and not cave in to the pressure as you see this thing going up. At least that's my philosophy. I actually sold my beas to buy something else and am not so sure it's going anywhere for a while. Now that I said that it will probably hit 30 tomorrow. Anyway, hang in there. Remember what I said last week. We will show Paul what real market timing is. At least I hope so. P.S. Paul- Stop gloating. Or Raptor will have to kick you off his thread (which he says isn't his.... but we all know the truth!)

Raptor, >> the shorters and detractors are NOWHERE to be seen these days on the thread.<<

Well, there are some shorts - I went short last week. Down, but not out. PSFT just looking ahead of itself, could suffer a lot with a small miss of the numbers. I agree with Melissa, I think we will see 40 again short term.

Raptor, Get this thread back under control. This is supposed to be a serious discussion thread not a place for lighthearted banter. Since you are our leader, it's up to you to take charge and stop all this. You may want to send Paul a private message and let him know this rather than discuss this here publicly. My lighthearted banter doesn't count since he started it. I go with the flow.

Raptor & Melissa,

Since you folks are looking for an entry point, I thought I would point out to you that ORCL announces earnings on Thursday after the close. I think expectations for ORCL apps numbers are good, which would account for PSFT's recent strength.

Also, according to briefing.com, ORCL says they will post a transcript of their conference call on their web site. I don't believe they have done this in the past and I doubt that they would do such a thing if they had bad news to report. Last quarter ORCL was very quiet about discussing their results.

What effect any of this will have on the price of PSFT is not clear. Maybe "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" will cause a drop after Thursday. Then again, maybe good ORCL numbers will drive PSFT higher. In any case, I would expect some volatility this week.

Tom
