Bear in mind, that if you are referring to a stock price being distinct from the company...THEN,

...how long has IOM been in the dumper?...since earnings Jan 22. not even two months...an eternity to us that watch the price every day...but, really just a blip in company time.

I have seen MSFT, INTC, CPQ, et al, in the dumper for that amount of time...and I had held them through that. Not, that I'm saying they are all the same...

But, if you are going to jump on the momentum of the internet stocks that have little to no earnings...BUYER BEWARE!

I personally won't touch those suckers long or short, on a bet maybe, to try for a few minute trade. When their time comes to fall, I'll not be waking up in the morning thinking: DOWN 25 points?!

Please be careful out there!

Do I have to post another picture to alleviate the boredom around here?

;)

Linda

At the risk of over evaluating my position in IOM. It would appear that if you believed the analysts had the earnings guesses right, then IOM would be fairly valued. 20% projected annualized growth and a 20 P/E. One point of interest. Up until the most recent quarter IOM was able to beat estimates with the exception of one quarter about 5 quarters back I think due to a one time charge.. Anyway, my point now is that the projected growth is terrible compared to what it was before. 20%?? I liked it much better when the estimates were for 50-100% growth and IOM beat. Now we are praying for 20% and for them not to miss.

As much as we ballyhoo the analysts, they have managed to come in pretty close to what IOM actually produced. Now with that said, is IOM fairly valued relative to earnings projections in the near term?

Just a thought from someone very long and planning on being longer with available funds............. Devils advocate...

Re: Ken's "How come they won't listen to us Rock?"

Because neither of you "pundits" have ever shown that you have any clue as to what you're doing.

Rocky, how's Intel, Quigley, Wdc, and Aol treating ya? Yeah, I know you supposedly "covered" your AOL short. But you were obviously wrong for the second straight time on the direction of this stock. As for WDC, yes I know you covered your loss on this one. Now under $16. Quigley: well we all know what a beating you've taken here. And Intel, oh poor Rocky, you could have sold at $95.

As for you Ken, SMOD is now 50% of its 52 week high. Sound familiar?

It's really pathetic that neither of you have a position in this stock, yet you both feel compelled to continually show your immaturity by goading for attention on this thread.

I really hope this makes you feel better about yourselves. The rest of your life surely doesn't give you any affirmation.

Why don't you try being a little more mature and leave these poor people alone? Do you feel better that they are losing their hard earned money at the moment here?

It's time for you two to take some stock of your life and realize that karma will come back to bite you in the ass. As for you Rocky, this has obviously already happened.
