I entirely agree with the thrust of your post. I too am somewhat nonplussed by the performance of GIC while stocks like ATHM go through the roof. It just could be "natural" consolidation after a substantial run up. It could also be that so far the GIC box is still something of a mystery. It could also be that investors have become leary of the ability of GIC to turn a profit on these boxes. It could be lack of blockbuster news such as the TCI and Sony deals. But it could also be anticipation of future competition such as:

If half the hype in this article is true this could be a halfway decent set top box, even if its not cable. Anyway, it is competition. How much? I have no idea! What are we GIC bulls to make of this "Columbus"? IMHO the time for headscratching at GIC is over. It's time to get boxes out the door! Strike while the iron is hot and all that.
