Jim I hate to belabor the point here...but there have been a zillion updated versions of the KJV.Or am i wrong again? I was asking you to post the wording from the original...perhaps I should have made my request clearer. but I must agree the meaning is the same in those two above versions. purething

Hi Jim-can you tell I'm avoiding packing and cleaning house? Interlinear Greek to English- of I Cor. 6:9-10: Or know ye not that unjust ones (the)kingdom of God not shall inherit? Be not misled; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers of themselves as women, nor abusers of themselves with men, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor rapacious, (the) kingdom of God shall inherit. Sounds like none of us is going to get there on our own---which is the whole point of Christianity. I thought it interesting that right alongside the fornicators and self-abusers were the railers( reviling, vituperation) and the rapacious (greedy)ah-and covetous! Let him who is without sin, etc. Oh--and then there's that great quote of Jesus' about the plank in one's own eye.. Righteous anger can so quickly turn to self-righteous hatred. Back to the suitcases.
