I have no idea why it would be so late. In the past (except last August and October, when there were CEO and restatement special cases), the normal dates for Q1-Q3 releases were around the 3rd week of the quarter (average around the 20th of the month).

I don't understand the Informix reporting practices either. Under the new management and after the restatements you'd expect Informix to have the best kept books in the industry. With better methods and records they should e able to get the quarterly reports out faster not slower.

As you know I also get very antsy about earnings report, but it has been my experience that First Call is not always correct on their dates with many companies. When I called IFMX last qtr, I was told they would post the date on the web page when a date was announced. They did this, and earnings were announced on that date. They may do the same thing this qtr. They also answered my e-mail very promply. You might try both. I haven't tried either this qtr. If this helps , let us all know.

I would look at it as a problem with internal controls. It is telling that even under
the new management, they had to release last quarters earnings without an audit being completed. They then had to have a separate statement saying the results were officially audited. Even without the audit, the results were still MUCH later than just about any other company I follow, large or small.

I hope they get this issue resolved soon so at least they can give the appearance of being a "well oiled machine."
