<<<Of course some women lie about such things. Just as men (and women) complain about not being "understood". And this--What she probably doesn't understand is why her husband has to screw other men--strikes
me as a genuinely sexist remark. What exactly do you mean by it?>>>

Bull crap and ya know it. The statement stands on it's own. The only excuse a married man has for "screwing" other women is that he wants to screw other women. The only excuse that a married woman has for screwing other men is she wants to screw other men. It's tit for tat. You are not going to be able to dodge the issue by trying to point your magic wand in my direction.

<<<Not that women have an exclusive right to perceive themselves as victims every time a man says or does something they consider
to be offensive.>>>

No, and they shouldn't have that right weakened because it goes against your political agenda.

<<I feel that what greedy Paula is doing with her lawsuit--wanna talk about someone who's doing her best to intrude upon, and perhaps truly ruin, the lives of others, mostly women?--is a grotesque distortion of the goals of the women's movement.>>

By today's civil trial standards "greedy Paula" lost out financially on this deal a long time ago. What amazes me is I would bet the house that you would have gladly slapped one of those "I BELIEVE YOU ANITA" bumperstickers on your car several years back as the woman killer, reckless driver extraordinaire Ted Kennedy sat his fat ass in judgement of Clarence Thomas.

Someone here said much earlier that these days "sexual harassment is whatever the woman says it is". This isn't right.

Perhaps you meant this post...

Please tell me how much time does the law require before one must say "Stop"? 1 millisecond? 1 Second? 10 Seconds? A minute? I'll tell you and I'm not even a stinking lawyer. NONE! If she did not want him to do it then it was at the very least harassment and probably closer to assault! These are the rules nowadays and if Billy was so for them in the first place he can damn well abide by them now. -- Message 3725367

Not quite what I said Janice but close. Let me give you an example to better illustrate...

If Big Billy puts his hands on a woman's breasts and she likes it and doesn't complain about it. It's not sexual harassment/assault. If Big Billy puts his hands on a woman's breasts and she doesn't like it and complains to the authorities about it. It's sexual harassment/assualt. Some women complain, some don't.

Now whether you agree with it or not. Like it or not. Whine about it or not. That's the way it is. So Janice all I can say is stand up and take it like a man. ;)
