STARR PROBEABLY WRAPPING IT UP WITHIN 3 MONTHS...

Until last week, it was thought Gingrich would hand this evidence off to Hyde, who was quietly recruiting his own lawyers and investigators from his home base back in Chicago. But Gingrich now is leaning toward creation of a select committee containing Hyde and some of the toughest, most knowledgeable personalities in the Republican cloakroom. They could include Rep. William Thomas of California, House Oversight Committee chairman; Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana, Reform and Oversight Committee chairman; Rep. Gerald Solomon of New York, Rules Committee chairman, and Rep. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, investigations subcommittee chairman on the Workforce Committee. -- suntimes.com

Okay, Bob, I think I understand now. You seem to have very strong feelings against feminists. That's fine. I am pretty much in the middle, and not strident about this issue. You are entitled to your own opinion, for sure.

However, in liberal Democratic circles NOW, Patricia Ireland and the feminist movement in general, and feminist columnists as well, are all very important in terms of supporting the president, and the fact that NOW has come out with such a strong stance is quite striking, I believe.

You are talking about your feelings, I think, and I am talking about political power bases. Is there anyone else here who would argue with Bob that feminist support is irrelevant for Clinton, or that NOW's new position is insignificant?
