It's simple math - if they got more die/wafer their costs would be lower. Their costs aren't lower! AMD PRINTS more K6 die per wafer because the K6 is SMALLER. AMD throws away MORE K6's per wafer than the keep because more of them are non-functional - dead, muerte, deceased, crapola. Why do you think AMD is losing money and why do you think that their losses are EXPANDING? Re: "Thus revenue per wafer for AMD and INTC is about the same. For AMD to make the same revenue per wafer as Intel, AMD would make alot of money." Does this make sense to you? AMD's revenue/wafer is the same as Intel's (according to you!) and therefore AMD will make a lot of money! Duuuuuuuuhhhhh - they are LOSING SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNTS OF MONEY THIS QUARTER!
