I was thinking about WAXS just because of their strong presence in Latin America. I agree with NXTL. Since I own NXTL as well as WAXS I'd be happy either way.

Why NXTL ? It has technical and capacity problems as I understand it. If WCOM is to be a leader, they need massive international presence.

For example, Airtouch and Globalstar. Airtouch uses CDMAOne which will tie nicely to the Globalstar satellite system (also CDMAOne). In other words a seamless international/US network with the leading digital (and ultimately wideband) capacity.

I also like the idea of the Sprint PCS spinoff. There is dissent among the cable partners and Sprint. The Sprint connection makes it difficult, but who knows ?

Any thoughts ?

Why do you think NXTL? As I recall, WCOM mentioned they wanted a profitable wireless provider.
