Jim, very good idea for a new thread. Thanks for the invite. I've also bookmarked it. Will you be just looking at stocks crossing the 13 day moving avg. going up?

Sergio

Apparantly, this is a very popular topic with all the response in such a short time. This system must have some credibility and must work. 13 stocks are listed in thread #1 and 7 more later.
My question is:
How does an investor take this information and put it into practical use to make money?
1. Does one invest in all 20 stocks equally or just the best ones? How do you find the best ones?
2. When does one buy (immediately when posted or later) and sell and how many can be expected to go up vs down?
3. Is this a short term trading system (1-5 days) or long term?
4. Has this system been backtested to determine the % that can be expected to go up.

Thank you for your initiative in starting this topic. I hope this will open up a few more questions that will help us to practically put this information to good use. I am a novice to this type of investing and would like to make money like the rest of you.

Rick

Getting Some Fundamental Info...

CAND is a good example of a stock that members of the 13's thread have contributed Financial and news info... The more we do this, the stronger the list of rolling 13's that get carried into next week... Remember, our aim is to make money... The input from the 13's threaders is getting better and better...

13r's... I'm pleased to announce that David J. will be offering TA on the 13's... His analyses will focus on the timeliness of the 13's stocks to help highlight the PSIX type stocks a little earlier...

Some stocks may only be strong and timely Technically, while others will also be timely Fundamentally... Each 13's threader will have to decide what's appropriate for them... All stocks discussed are just Ideas, not Recommendations... Trust in yourself more than anything posted anywhere on the net, including here...

Here are the stocks passing the first TA cut to roll into next week... They will be further reviewed for FA and TA... Any assistance, like the type we had with CAND will help us all...

Positive FA is reflected in growing Revenues and Earnings, and or positive news that can lead to growing Revenues and Earnings... Sometimes a company executing its growth plan successfully (thanks Sergio), can also meet the positive FA criteria...

It is just as important to discuss negative FA to help us remove possible losers...
