Duncan, I actually thought Celine's performance was not up to her usual high standards. It seemed to be hollow, lacking emotion....I watched the entire show and thought the "class photo" of former Oscar recipients was painful to watch. Speaking of Ben Hur, Charlton Heston looked particularly uncomfortable. No TITANIC was no BEN HUR, but I think the awards were justified. Especially my son's <g>.
