Reg,
Isn't this conversion from gasoline to natural gas?I thought ATF was diesel to natural gas? If this is so it is a slightly different market niche they are appealing to. I drove a VW Jetta Turbo Diesel for over 300,000 miles and toward the end I couldn't see who was behind me for diesel smoke. I also don't think that Econoline vans or Ford 250 trucks are the problems in major cities like Mexico City or Japan or Brazil the markets that ATF is targetting. It is however, interesting that Ford chose now to release the news. The uninformed public who don't have, or are not subscribers to, this thread aren't as well informed as we are in general. Good information Reg anyway and I must say I am impressed with the work everyone is doing on this thread. Excellent. I sat and watched this at .90 then 1.15 agn at 1.50 and even after a client suggested it to me at .90 I still watched the run up to over 3.00. I took a position on friday. Good luck all and cheers to all of you again for your fine work. I am impressed.Lets hope this goes onward and upward.

Doug J

Reg,

This is EXCELLENT NEWS .... it reinforces the position and technology that ATF has developed ... it means there is likely a very good market for this technology - ALSO - and very importantly - who is to say that just because Ford has it, GM and Chrylser etc. do too. Perhaps they do not - but will they NOW?? ... are you following me here !!!

This is just speculation ... but IMHO this news certainly could not have come at a better time. Unless GM and Chrysler have this technology developed NOW .... Hmmmmmm !! .... doubt they want to be outdone by Ford in the important area of green technology .... IMHO, corporately a BIG mistake.

Fuel cells are great - but they are 15-20 years out (unless there is a major break through) ..... the technology that ATF has is for today - now.

Best to all,

MB

I have been following this thread since January, and have just signed up for the free month, maybe more we will see.
Excellent work Ladies and Gentlemen, very informative.
I was wondering if the information "reg' posted was public. I can find know evidence that it is. Also I am sure others noticed, but since no one raised the point, I have been forced to question the "Advance for Release at 12:01 Tuesday, March 31". I am still waiting for this date as it hasn't passed here in Ottawa, probably a political blunder.

Please post the refering website or sites, thanks.
Cheers, Robin
