Good evening James: I've had a great week on the market and hope that you and everyone else has also. I notice many of us have suggestions about how to structure the thread. Many of the posts make alot of sense like Rick Stromes idea that we post weekly results about the stocks. I'm not sure what to include but I think that it would be prudent to post it regularly on Fri so that we have maximum time to disect these stocks which have moved above there 13wk MA. I also like that we are choosing to focus on stock anatomy on the weekends. Research during trading takes time from trading, going into a week clear on what I want to own gives structure to a very organic process. Speaking of organic, your suggestion James, that we keep a rolling portfolio is exactly what I like, that constant flow into and out of markets within different sectors and always being close to upward breakouts in emerging or re-emerging companies. This leads me to some questions about how to keep the list: Do we include every company that is mentioned on this thread? Do we use only the companies that James posts? Do we keep every company mentioned that crosses the 13wk MA? Anyone, any ideas? Next I wonder about how to incorporate sentiment and fundamentals into our equation. If I may make a suggestion on this point: What if we who share this thread post votes. Say, every Sunday night, or something take whichever of the weeks rolling portfolio you want and post a numerical assessment of each stock you choose to post on, maybe even followed by some notes if necessary. What if we had 3 categories: Technicals, fundamentals, as well as sentiment/news, 1 to 10 so that it looks like this: Ticker, 1st #(Technical), 2nd #(Fundamentals), 3rd #(Sentiment) AAAA 8 4 6 BBBB 9 10 2 CCCC 3 8 3 DDDD 7 5 9 Like this we can get consistent feedback from eachother allowing the thoughts on each of the stocks in the rolling portfolio to be communicated in a way that we can all be familiar with. It also allows anyone to write someone else on why there was such a disparity between the two of them on a specific stock. I feel that this will help the thread by initiating dialogue on information that we gather. I will take the initiative here and post my thoughts Sun night. Please offer feedback on wether you like it or how we can improve it. Next I'd like to speak about what qualifies to be kept or dropped: Is the objective to keep a fixed number of stocks or do we choose stocks on a % basis, like awarding a stocks which meets a certain criteria the grand and distinguished distinction of being a thoroughbred? If so, what criteria distinguish this? I sense alot of potential for focused collaboration for any who are intent on profit. IsaacF1
