Not exactly. Hentoff correctly distinguishes between what an individual does and what agents of a powerful central government can do against its citizens.

It was Lewinsky who betrayed her friend first by asking her to perjure herself. Knowing what would happen to her at the hands of the Clintonistas, Tripp merely protected herself.
