Rod in a situation like this it is clear that the information gap makes it easy to prey on stocks. I have told Drakes before that if he turns out to be wrong about BT selling then he should see himself in a very bad light. Part of an orchestrated market paranoia of sorts. I am sure that there is nothing illegal about this but I can hardly see how one can be pleased with oneself. If he is wrong and BT sells a lot this year he should dissapear from the small cap stock threads at the very least. I will personally remind him of this. On the other hand if BT does not sell in 98 I will never give my opinion in any thread. Contrary to Techteam repeated comments voip is not a direct threat to BT at this time and it will not be for many years. The n One may be concerned in regard to proprietary hardware but the server is compatible with many things out there and the need is sufficient to overcome the use of BT modems. Eventually the client side may be unneccesary and that would certainly speed up sales. The need is global and the view that the usefulness of BT is somehow going to expire overnight is very wrong. It will not. Ben Barker deserves a lot of credit for realizing that and will eventually get it. Perhaps not so much for his day to day handling of things. Sales get delayed for many reasons. For example it takes time for people to realize that only ONE long distance call is taking place and that the situation is transparent as far as people calling you. As far as you are concerned you are in the office. Tying up a port is your way of being in the office and well justified. The whole debate is misplaced regarding alternatives. BT is a useful tool to have and it will find a market. The issue is how large and how well can DR tap it.
