Liberal knee jerk reaction when confronted with unsavory facts is to go "I know you are but what am I?" Iran contra was at root a POLICY dispute between Democrats in Congress and Republicans in the Executive. Honest people can debate and criticize the merits of the arguments and tactics used to implement the opposing policies. To compare those momentous times to today where a smarmy sleazy little pol is lying to cover his own ample ass is just laughable.
