Sometimes I wonder if it were not for these online forums, some newsletter writers would not know where to get some of their information they print. We do the work and they consolidate, make it look pretty and publish.

I do not wish to have this post taken as hype, but there is another player in the Alberta diamond play that gets very little coverage. They do get mentioned fairly regularly, just that their name always gets left out.

There have been a few comments about Marum and them currently flying "other" properties nearby their JV property with Carib. The company they are JV'd with, on the other property, is Micrex Development Corp. (MIX.ASE) and the preliminary aerial work done on this property suggests it's potential for kimberlite is as good as anything else in Alberta. Similar to the currently drilled property, there is little or no overburden and the property is accessible later into the season as well.

One other item of note here is that Micrex is also moving on a project in the Crow's Nest Pass area of South-Western Alberta. This other project has the potential to fund any work they may need to do on the diamond play, without having to worry about any further stock dilution. It is a magnetite deposit (product used in coal production, as well as sponge metal, etc.) and recent projected earnings have been as high as .40/share which equates to over $4M net earnings. The company has already secured LOI's from 14 area coal producers who are interested in doing business once they are on line. Currently much of magnetite being consumed is being brought in from the Minnesota / North Dakota area and for that reason Micrex has an upper hand in costs FOB the customer.

The company's web site can be found at mixcorp.com and there is a thread here on SI as well:

IMHO they appear to warrant a look, if you are into this particular area play, and seem to offer solid diversification at the same time.

Salut,
