big guy,
It was moi. I was sure CR would be the first to post as a "new" shortie. Watch him closely, and try not to admit knowing anything. He'll report you to the SEC as an insider. He might even report if you own 1 share.
Wexler is next.
Good luck longs,
Brice

big guy, here are my Y2K shorts (posted on those threads - check it out):

ZITL Short at 42, covered most at 10

DDIM Short at 35, covered all at 19

ACLY Short at 27, covered a portion at 16 3/4

I'm not short TAVA yet.

Hope this helps (I doubt Patrick considers me his sidekick<g>)
Regards, Bill

Big Guy, it would be a mistake to consider CR and I as part of any related operation. This is not Batman and Robin.

>>Put up with the two of you<<
I hope I have been reasoned and civil, I hope CR will be as well. I hope the exchange of views will be useful to both sides. There are two sides to the TAVA story.

re compenstaion, I am short a small number of shares - about 1/4 of a 'normal position' at just over $14. I will increase or decrease my short depending on circumstances. Please remember you asked when I let you know.

The more the merrier. I was criticised for posting too much (they tend to be in bursts when I have the time, like now) but it is not surprising if I am the *only* one in a visibly short position.

Well said Big Guy

In particular, you have be very careful with CR. I was really turned off by this person when he threatened to report Tom Geimer and ACLY to the SEC for a supposed mistake in the their annual report and then had to back down because he was wrong. He states things - like calling consulting a low margin business - without explaining his assumptions; has already called TAVA a joke on the ACLY thread and referes to Y2K has hype. Initially I thought I could learn from him because, on the surface, he seems to crunch some numbers but with a little bit of digging I always disagree and basically end up shaking my head in disgust. I don't mind a short I just want an honest exchange of information and opinions.

As I have said before, I remediate COBOL code everyday and know first hand what this is going to mean if it is not repaired. I have no idea what CR does. Maybe he could tell us his technical background if he is going to make technical comments?

In any event, I second your challenge to have the shorts keep us informed about their transactions.
