This is what I bought
palmpilot.3com.com

This is CE
microsoft.com
microsoft.com

xtream is a show put on by MSFT (live) all over the US via
theaters for free. They usually give away free stuff
(e.g. T-shirts, software, candy, popcorn, drinks, etc.)
The show last Saturday was about WIN98, WIN CE w/r/t auto PC and
palm pc, Publisher 98, Money 98, Outlook 98 ...
It's mostly propaganda ...

After watching the show and now knowing what MSFT plans are ...
w/r/t to killing 3coms' palmpilot ... I am simply going to return
it and avoid the aggravation.

I keep hearing that MSFT will be several companies in the future???

Dan, I think MSFT will be giving it away even more in the future and they have no one to thank for the lost revenue but themselves.

The linux-mozilla freeware alliance is a revenge made in heaven:http://www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/story/story_1952.html

Dan, it was a couple of months ago (not weeks) that I claimed Outlook to not be free--at which time, that was the case. Since then, they changed policy to make it free for 90 days...

And Jay: No comment on Michael Murphy's book, but I don't have much respect for the guy as an investor. He's the self-proclaimed technology stock guru, but I see him making tons and tons of bad decisions.

Microsoft backs down on 'Palm PC'

msnbc.com

Again, this doesn't stop MSFT from leveraging their
O/S dominance and doing the same thing to 3com what MSFT
did to NSCP, WP, Borland, Novl, .....

The list goes on and on
