Thanks very much for your summary. I needed it this weekend, as my tape recorder did not function properly for much of both shows. It's quite a disappointment to turn on the tape and hear nothing but static! Anything else you can remember about the show would be appreciated.

Best wishes,

I2

Re:sentiment, from a recent brief review on Wall Street Week looking at recent times when sentiment got over 70% (the usual bulls/bulls +bears)
1/5/73-80.3% Market dropped 45% in 23 months
12/31/76-90% Market dropped 26% in 14 months
8/21/87-76% Market dropped 36% in 8 weeks

What does this mean? Were conditions the same? Absolutely not but keep in mind the fact that sentiment was so high means people thought things were great just like we do today. What we also have today is all time record high valuations. As Bob mentioned one of the best things that could happen now is a mild correction dampening sentiment and hopefully allowing the bull to continue but this is clearly a risky market now. One thing about "Jerry" he is somewhat correct in saying Bob rarely admits he screwed up, the only problem is I can't think of any time in recent history he's been wrong about the market. Now if he makes a bogus Lady Elaine type cll then we'll get to see how he handles it. I think we may be waiting an awfully long time for that though.

SteveH: re:<anyone else think the call from "Jerry" was really Rillinious (or is it villinious).>

Your guess is excellent - It would be my guess also. Jerry's agenda was clearly to bully Bob into admitting his UTEK recommendation was badly timed. His call was not the way to treat THE GOLDEN GOOSE ! Jerry would be pleased to claim victory if he could only humiliate Bob into admitting he is wrong. He'd really be smiling if Bob finally took up golf and quit his program. What a complete JERK Jerry is - that's my opinion !

Did anyone else think the call from "Jerry" was really Rillinious
--
Jerry asked a good question. I think he tried to be very polite but BB really doesn't handle that type of question well.
What was wrong with asking about UTEK ? We always hear about Jan 12.
As for BB pointing out the caller told the screener something different, well, you think if he said I want to ask about UTEK he would have gotten through ?
If you are going to talk MSFT & VOD, talk about UTEK too.

Talk about overreacting, wow.

Jerry has 1 million on the market, if he had put 10%
of his porfolio on utek and it is down 10-15%,
i think he loses only $15000. it is absolutely
no big deal for a guy with 1 million at the market!!
why is he so annoy of losing 15000.
