The supreme irony in all if this is that the IC is a product of the Democrats and, when it could have been sun-setted was kept going by the Dems AND THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION over the objections of the Repubs ( before they took over ).

I have also been an opponent of it but now, seeing how the Clintons have politicized the hell out of justice department, I'm beginning to think maybe we should keep it around.

Jeff-
I am saying that the travesty of justice conducted by Starr makes it very likely that the facts will never come out, and that if they do they will be impossible to evaluate.

Can you explain what is the "travesty of justice"?
If Mr. Starr sends a report to congress as predicted with evidence, I think it will be easy to evaluate; however, it might be interpreted differently.

His career is primarily that of PR shill for right-wing causes

I would hardly call a judge of the federal appeals court and solicitor general a shill of the right wing.

Starr may not be the best at investigative skills but his experienced staff of attorneys are. We'll eventually see one way or the other.

I guess like Lawrence Walsh was a PR shill for left-wing causes

Don't you just love labels. They're almost always posted on top of anything conservative-right-wing, rightest, ultra-conservative, religious right, neo-nazis, nazi, ultra-right wing, etc., etc.

Conservatives should start fighting back with their own labels on top of anything liberal-left-wing, leftist, ultra-left, secular left, neo-fascist, stalinist, fascist, socialist, etc., etc.

Wouldn't it be great to hear some balance in labeling? Whenever we hear the Richardson Institute always described as 'conservative' it would just as fair to hear the ACLU introduced as the 'liberal' ACLU... Or when you hear Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, or Larry Elder introduced as 'conservative' talk show hosts it would be just as appropriate to hear Gloria Allred, Mario Cuomo, or Stephanie Miller introduced as 'liberal' talk show hosts or commentators.

Won't happen.
