David, the deciding election was held in my district! Actually, Tommy would be a decent-enough governor had he not such a low opinion of cities and things urban. He doesn't understand them at all, and doesn't want to. He's putting out some feelers for the presidency (I'm sure he just wants to gather political capital - no way could he be considered a real, valid candidate!), and plans to enter the Iowa caucuses. Question to all - who is the most likely candidate for the Republicans for president in 2000? Any crystal ball gazers out there? <<over the protests of a minority of the Legislature.>> Not really. The Stadium morass was regional, not party. Republicans in the 5 county area were just as POed as were the Dems; they just couldn't be as demonstrative.
