Thanks for your comments. I claim no historical knowledge of political corruption and will therefore grant you your assertion that the Clinton administration is not the most corrupt in the history of the Republic. They are the most corrupt that I personally know of, perhaps because of lack or reporting.

I don't know much about the Concord coalition, but I also respect the men you name as part of it. Bipartisan efforts have a nice air about them. Penny (Democrat) teamed up with (I think) Republican Kasich a few years ago in such a bipartisan effort. But Penny left politics. Maybe he felt they were urinating into the wind, as they say.

Much of our political corruption could be cured by simply passing a law against contributing over, say, $100 to any politician or party. The law would apply to individuals, corporations, unions. Simple enough. Chance of passage? Zero.
