Thanks for clarifying that Bennett. I think there is a danger of picking the wrong one in the sense that people read about umpty billion dollars net profit expected for Globalstar.

They check Globalstar, see there are 30 million or so shares and figure - omigod, look how much money GSTRF will make per share. Ooops-a-daisy. Nope, you need to divide the Globalstar net profit by the number of shares in Globalstar LP and THAT is what a shareholder in GSTRF gets.

That was the sense in which I meant people needed to be careful that they understood the structure of the company.

Not at all is it hidden, or even tricky - though having the same name referring to two distinctly different entities can lead to the misunderstanding of attributing the whole profit solely to Globalstar Telecommunications Limited. I think it bears repeating frequently as there are always new people learning about it. So thanks for that.

I think the intention was eventually to do away with the partnership entity and convert the whole thing to Globalstar Telecommunications Limited registered in Bermuda.

Not long until a big launch with lots of satellites going up simultaneously. It will be nice to have that one safely away. I don't want to think about that one going crooked and having a rough landing.

Maurice

"The total number of LP shares authorized (and therefore GSTRF shares) are going to be increased to 600,000,000 shares and, a split is going to be announced at, or following the shareholder's meeting. "

Ok, we got that the authorized shares is increasing, but that does not necessarily mean that there is going to be a stock split. Are you saying that G* management told your friend there was a stock split, or is this split comment purely conjecture?

The new authorized shares can be issued to investors in private placements or used to back warrants and other methods of funding. They don't *have* to be used in a split.
