Mike, BIKE was hammered about a month ago---here's
the take from your favorite analysts -g-:
fnews.yahoo.com

I was long out of this one, but keeping an eye on it. Under
16 (like today) it looks pretty cheap. I'd probably do my DD
and buy in again, except that I have some qualms about owning
a company that is expanding into off-road motorcycles. (Not
so much financial qualms, as environmental ones---not that there
aren't plenty of places that are fine to give over to such
activities, but they can sure damage some nice places fast---I've
been to one or two in the Mojave Desert.) Of course, it also
makes sport wheelchairs just to tip the balance back towards the
PC side of things -g-. Next move, off-road sport wheelchairs?
May give it
a go anyway (you know, if they weren't selling them, someone else
would be.... rationalize, rationalize, rationalize...). Good
company, good products, seems to have a good business plan and
management, and is expanding into new markets,
with a 10 P/E. And nothing to do with chips!

Just thought I'd give you and the rest of the Burkite/Mohanite/Luddite
crowd -g- a heads-up, since you said you liked it
30% below the current price when it was trading in the low twenties.

Oh yeah, portfolio notes I'm sure you'll jump on: I bought a teensy
third
of Brooks Automation (BRKS) yesterday in the low 13's, and got back into Pharmacyclics (PCYC) at the bargain -g- price of 24 3/4. Everyone's gotta find their own way of buying the top! At least I've
got plenty of cash to do it with.

Cheers,

HB

Michael, I'm hearing about a huge up swing in book to bill for the first 3 weeks of Q2.

Cellular is great, PC's are strong and analog is booming. Remains to be seen if this is just a reaction to the low inventory levels from Q1, but if it continues we are looking at a major turnaround. I don't expect to see any change in MU or INTC frankly I don't follow them, but companies like VLSI, LSI and TXN should look real good.
