David,
Well, I can't say that I have kept up with this thread, only read a few posts at the end of the day when I read it at all, but please enlighten me: what are the "high crimes and misdemeanors"?

Certainly the FBI file thing--that bothers me a lot. Certainly if they have used the IRS to audit their "enemies"; that would also bother me a lot (though it was Nixon who got that down to an artform--but that does NOT justify its use, if it was done).

Please don't talk about these alleged "murders" of Foster, et al, though. It is true, I CAN'T believe those. It is always possible that I am wrong about that, but it is unimaginable to me at this point.

High crimes and misdemeanors - absolutely not moot and not going away.

An awfully vague phrase, "high crimes and misdemeanors". Has no real legal significance, depends entirely on what the House and Senate interprets it to mean.
